Navitec was started in 2017 by a trio of staffing and recruiting industry entrepreneurs that have focused their careers on building companies around emerging markets in the IT Staffing Sector. The owners have a proven track record of starting IT consulting firms where the demand for specific talent is high and the supply is low, limiting the availability of local resources. They have refined a National recruiting process that has taken over 30 years of engineering. The result is a recruiting engine that targets top talent quickly by effectively vetting a national market of qualified candidates and developing trusted relationships with the top consultants in the industry.

Every consultant we employ has completed a service agreement that involves an extensive screening process. This includes code of conduct, technical, background and professional screenings, professional references and certification confirmation.

Our Founders

Joe Mendonca
Co-founder, CEO

Joe is a staffing industry entrepreneur with 25 years of experience building and managing information technology, healthcare IT and life sciences consulting firms. Prior to Navitec, Joe founded and managed 2 successful consulting companies sold to private equity. He’s also served as an industry consultant and a senior manager for 2 of the largest technical staffing and recruiting firms in the country. Joe graduated from CSU Chico in 1992. Tyler Tenpas
Co-founder, Vice President

Tyler is a staffing industry SME with 15 years of experience building and managing information technology and healthcare divisions for major technical staffing and recruiting firms. Prior to Navitec, Tyler built and managed multiple National IT Practices, resulting in revenue growth that residually increased all lines of business. Erich Strotbeck
Co-founder, Vice President

Erich has over 25 years of business management and development, consulting and professional IT service experience. As a hands-on executive, his primary expertise is growing businesses and serving our clients and consultants. He is highly skilled in identifying, recruiting and retaining high demand subject matter experts.
